Created in memory of Baby Samuel “Sammy” Martineau. At the age of 14 weeks and 4 days, Sammy was found unresponsive at his daycare. Paramedics and doctors were able to resuscitate Sammy, but the damage to his brain could not be repaired. After 2 days on life support and countless tests, Sammy’s parents, Haley and Tony, made the difficult decision to remove him from life support. Doctors determined the cause of death to be SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome) with an underlying RSV infection. Sammy was a happy, healthy, beautiful baby - it couldn’t have taken his family more by surprise. SIDS is unpredictable and unfair. Sammy’s parents are excited to have this shirt in his memory and honor.
